CONSTRUCTION:  This custom oak full surface mounting frame was designed to complement the many other wood fixtures in the lobby.  Constructed entirely of wood, the interior frame is all 3/4" plywood, the top and bottom are 1 inch by 8 inch oak planking, and the front is 3/4" beveled oak strips.

CONSTRUCTION:  With this Formica covered semi-surface installation (four inches in the wall, 12 inches outside the wall), The co-op was able to reuse the opening left after removing their old mailboxes.  This minimizes any restoration work.  The result was new mailboxes twice the size of the old boxes, able to fit without infringing on the buildings finished lobby area.
